Cartagena during the day

We left the hotel yesterday and just started strolling around to get our bearings. First it was walking out the door and taking every left turn that we could, knowing that would get us back to the entrance. Then walking a block away and making only right turns. Lots of shops selling lots of useless stuff can be found here. They've got this thing for fat lady statues, for instance.

I'm not sure what this says, but maybe the KKK is making
a ressurgance in Colombia?

We'd only really travelled a few blocks for the hotel in any given direction, but there was a horse carriage tour guy pulling up, so we hopped in and he drove us around the city. That ride, for 30 minutes and 70,000 COP (I think. It's really hard to keep track!), was great. Go to see so much of the city, albeit really quickly, and get to realize that it's quite a safe place, during the day at the least. The only downside was that when the ride was over, he dropped us off somewhere and didn't really mention exactly how we'd find our way back to the hotel.

A church. There's many of these here.

New construction

The horse buggy driver. He doesn't really take you where you
want to go and doesnt' tell you how to get back. But at least
he's nice and the ride is scenic.
